I have been in the TV / video production business since 1988. I have been an engineer, a master control operator, a photojournalist, and for the last 13 years, an Avid editor. I began as a commercial editor at KLBK, and then moved on to Texas Tech where my main job was to put together a weekly half hour coach’s show(Mike Leach, Bob Knight). These shows aired locally(Lubbock) and on FSN. Most recently I worked as a photographer/editor for American Airlines.Work Experience:November 1988 to July 1989EngineerKLBK-TV, Lubbock, TXPerformed maintenance and repair, some master control operations, and satellite acquisitions. I worked the overnight shift for a while, which gave me the opportunity to teach myself how to use the switcher, the ADO, and how to edit. It was also during this time that I first began to experiment with graphics and 3d animation software. With these self-taught skills, I acquired an editing job that became available at KAMC in February of 1999. For the next year and a half I made :30 spots, promos, IDs, news stories(during sweeps), and an award winning documentary about the 1970 Lubbock tornado. I also won a silver Addy for a spot called "Pollardville".August 2000 to October 2007Avid editor / Shooter / Graphic ArtistTexas Tech University, Lubbock, TXA producer and myself were in charge of making a weekly half hour television show.
