Bill Moore is considered one of the best and most versatile editors in Texas with over 33 years of award winning professional experience working on both long-format features and documentaries as well as short-form broadcast commercial work. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Radio, Television, and Film graduating with Special Honors in 1977. Moore worked freelance as both an editor and a cameraman until he started POV Editorial Services in 1986. Trained as a film editor, Moore was the first editor in the Southwest to pioneer the use of digital nonlinear editing with the first computer-based editing system in the region. POV Editorial, riding the digital revolution, grew rapidly into the second largest post facility in Houston adding graphics design, audio post and visual effects services and eventually changing its name to POV Editing and Visual Effects. Today, Moore works independently on a wide variety of projects. He has numerous feature and documentary films to his credit. His feature credits include the film Charlie's Ear and Cultivating Charlie and his documentary credits include Hubble-Secrets from Space for the Discovery Channel, the three part series Darkness into Light for PBS as well as Silent Warrior, also for PBS, and more recently the feature documentary called For the Sake of the Song - the story of Anderson Fair which was accepted as an entry to the South by Southwest Film Festival in Austin, has aired on PBS, and won a Lone Star Emmy award for best documentary. Moore also continues to do broadcast commercial work for various ad agencies on a variety of projects for companies such as Memorial-Hermann Hospital, Houston Ballet, and the United Way, and his project for Locke Bryan Productions on the Fiesta Stores spots featuring Billy Gibbons garnered a Gold Addy award from the Houston Advertising Association.Additionally, Moore has been over the course of his career a well-regarded Broadcast
